According to the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, the automotive industry of the country shrank by 40% in terms of volume due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Toyota Fortuner – 8,494 units

The Toyota Fortuner is the 10th best-selling car in the country in 2020 with 8,494 units sold. Last year, the midsize SUV received a major refresh. However, in 2019, the Fortuner was in 4th place with 19,865 units sold.

Mitsubishi Mirage G4 – 8,638 units

Maintaining its position from 2019 to 2020, the Mitsubishi Mirage G4 is in the 9th place. It is also the best-selling Mitsubishi in the country. In 2020, 8,638 units were sold. However, compared to 2019, the figure is only half the amount of 2019 sales with 17,835 units sold.

Nissan Navara – 9,164 units

Dropping 2 places, the Nissan Navara is in the 8th position with 9,164 units sold, a 50% drop compared to 2019 with 19,034 units.  The diesel pickup is one of the most comfortable in its class. The car did not receive any updates in 2020. However, it still managed to shine in terms of technology features. Ford Ranger – 9,767 units

While in 2019, the model did not make it to the top 10 list, it managed to get in the 7th position in 2020 with 9,767 units sold.

Toyota Rush – 10,194 units

The Toyota Rush is another surprise, jumping from the 10th position to the 6th place. The car was launched in 2018. In 2019, the baby Fortuner was sold in 15,172 units. In 2020, the figure dropped a little to 10,194 units. With only a 32% reduction in terms of sales, it was even able to defeat the industry shrinking.
